Minimum System Requirements

Although FlashCONNECT and mvDesigner are supported on D3 Windows, D3 Linux, D3 AIX, and mvBase, some features may require additional installation, such as installing patches or service packs. See the TigerLogic Web site for the most recent patches or service packs at http://www.tigerlogic.com/tigerlogic/pick/support/patches/index.jsp. Before installing FlashCONNECT and mvDesigner, verify that these applications and connections are installed or configured:

D3 Windows

Version 7.4 Service Pack 3 or later.
Version 7.5 or later.

D3 UNIX

Version 7.3 (requires installation of ABS patch 7.3.A106 or later).
Version 7.4 (requires ABS Patch 7.4.A137 or later).
Version 7.5 or later.

mvBase

Version 2.0 Patch 3 or later.
Version 2.1 or later.

Web server supporting the CGI interface or ISAPI interface.
JRE or Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.4 or later.

WARNING

JRE or JDK must be installed on your computer before installing or reinstalling FlashCONNECT to use Java components such as FCServlet or the mvDesigner GUI application.
Windows 64 bit platforms require Java version 1.6 or later (32 bit version only).
Do not copy or move the jvm.dll to the WINNT directory from its original installation folder. This can cause the FlashCONNECT Socket Server Manager to fail.

Sufficient number of database licenses available for the number of connections desired
Sufficient number of phantom processes available for the number of connections desired for D3
Sufficient number of user processes available for the number of connections desired for mvBase
Internet, intranet, or extranet connection if you are using this feature
WWW account must be created

NOTE	This document refers to the FlashCONNECT and mvDesigner account as the WWW account, although the account can have a different name for your installation.

(D3 only) D3 user-ID with sys2 privileges and software must be Flash compiled in Windows only to use FlashCONNECT
