Introduction

This publication explains how to install the FlashCONNECT and mvDesigner products. FlashCONNECT and mvDesigner are delivered in either a UNIX tar file or a Windows self-extracting zip file that contains the following components:

mvDesigner run-time components
FCService components
JRE 1.4 (UNIX tar file or Windows zip file)
FlashCONNECT
Miscellaneous installation files

The FlashCONNECT Service components are necessary only for FlashCONNECT dynamic applications and mvDesigner.
