First published in the early 1990s, Omnis 7 has proved to be a popular integrated development environment for thousands of developers creating business solutions for Windows and
Macintosh end users.
With a large base of customers, support and upgrades were offered to existing Omnis 7 developers to maintain their classic applications in a rapidly changing environment.
The latest edition, Omnis 7.3 version 8, primarily provides support for Windows 2000.

Support for Omnis 7 had been previously included with Omnis Studio support programs, however, from October 31st 2001 all Studio support programs are for Studio developers only. Separate support programs are available for Omnis 7 developers, see On-going Support .
