What are the minimum system requirements to install "ChunkIt!"? System Requirements

Do I need to have Administrator rights to install TigerLogic ChunkIt!? Yes. In order to install TigerLogic ChunkIt! you must have administrator-level rights. Once installed, ChunkIt! can be used without administrator rights. Additionally, subsequent product updates can be applied without administrator rights.

Can I install a newer version of ChunkIt! if I already have a version installed? No. TigerLogic ChunkIt! does not allow you to install if you already have the product installed. Follow the steps for uninstalling your existing version before installing a new version, or simply use Check for Updates under the ChunkIt! Search Options menu to update to the latest version available. Firefox users should select Add-ons from the Tools menu, select TigerLogic ChunkIt! from the list of add-ons, and click the Find Updates button.

Why can’t I see the toolbar if I installed TigerLogic ChunkIt! as another user on the same system? The installation of TigerLogic ChunkIt! enables the toolbar only for the current user. Other users must enable it manually. To enable TigerLogic ChunkIt!:

For Internet Explorer
Select Toolbars > TigerLogic ChunkIt! from the Internet Explorer View menu.

For Firefox
Select Add-ons from the Tools menu, then select TigerLogic ChunkIt! and click the Enable button.

NOTE- A local user and domain user with the same name are actually different users.

When installing TigerLogic ChunkIt!, why did I receive the following message?

“Browser Helper Object is disabled. To install TigerLogic ChunkIt!, it must be enabled. Otherwise, installation won't complete. Do you want to enable it?”
Third party browser extensions are not enabled on your system. Click Yes to enable third party browser extensions and to continue with the TigerLogic ChunkIt! installation.

When attempting to download TigerLogic ChunkIt! why do I receive the following security alert?

"Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded"
Your system’s security settings are not currently configured to allow downloading files. To remedy this situation, complete the following instructions:
  1. Select Internet Options from the Internet Explorer Tools menu.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Select Internet from the Web content zone options and then click the Custom level... button.
  4. Locate the Downloads settings and select Enable from the File download options.
  5. Click OK.

How do I uninstall TigerLogic ChunkIt!? Complete the appropriate set of instructions to uninstall TigerLogic ChunkIt!

For Windows XP Internet Explorer Installations
From the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and then select Add/Remove Programs. Select TigerLogic ChunkIt! from the list of installed programs and click Remove.

For Windows Vista Internet Explorer Installations
From the Start Menu, select the Control Panel. Then click the Uninstall a Program link (located beneath the Programs heading). Select TigerLogic ChunkIt! from the list of programs and click the Uninstall button.

NOTE-  Under Vista you may be prompted several times by User Access Control to proceed. To completely uninstall you must choose allow for each of these prompts.

For Firefox Installations on TigerLogic ChunkIt! version 1.1.0.0066 or above
Open Firefox, then select Tools > Add-ons from the Firefox menu bar. Select TigerLogic ChunkIt! from the list of installed programs and click Uninstall.

For Firefox Installations on TigerLogic ChunkIt! version 1.1.0.0065 or below on Windows XP
From the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and then select Add/Remove Programs. Select TigerLogic ChunkIt! from the list of installed programs and click Remove.

For Firefox Installations on TigerLogic ChunkIt! version 1.1.0.0065 or below on Windows Vista
From the Start Menu, select Control Panel, and then Programs and Features. Select TigerLogic ChunkIt! from the list of installed programs and click Remove.

When I attempt to install TigerLogic ChunkIt! for Firefox from the TigerLogic Web site, after choosing to save the installation file, nothing happens. Why isn't it installing? If you attempt to install TigerLogic ChunkIt! for Firefox, but do so from Internet Explorer, Windows may not recognize the file type of the Firefox installer. To complete the installation:
  1. Double click the downloaded installation file. A message displays indicating that Windows cannot open this file.
  2. Select the Select the program from a list option and click OK. The Open With dialog box displays.
  3. Select Firefox from the list of Programs and click OK.
NOTE- If Firefox is not displayed in the list of Programs, click Browse to navigate to the directory where Mozilla Firefox is installed and select the firefox.exe file. The default directory is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe.

The installation program starts. Follow the prompts accordingly to complete the installation.
